Hi. I thought there were bed bugs in my daughter's room but after reading your
forums, I think they might be carpet beetles. Can someone please help me identify
them? Thanks, in advance, for your time and expertise.

    Not bed bug related.

My guess is some kind of beetle larva. I'm NOT a pro, so please wait for an expert to tell you exactly what it is.

Hope this helps at least a little.

    Melanie,

Thanks so much for the quick response. I guess I will have to rethink my plan of action depending
on what they are. I actually cooked my daughter's books in the oven for three hours this afternoon when I thought I was battling bed bugs. It did not hurt anything though

Thank you. That is what I was leaning toward after reading the forums. I just did not want to make a mistake for my daughter's sake.

Looks like a species of Anthrenus, a carpet beetle.

Thanks so much. I feel lucky to have found this site and people willing to help strangers. I know I have a battle ahead with the carpet beetles but there is a certain peace that comes with knowing what you are dealing with.
