It seems like a shed skin but could it be the whole bug? Thanks

Thanks Jim. Do nymphs usually shed near a harborage or can do that anywhere randomly? I am trying to understand if it's and old shed or a new one and if I should be looking for eggs nearby.

Usually harborage, but can be other places as well plus the sheds are easily blown about by air currents.

Thanks Dr. Sorkin. This is unfortunately not related to air currents as it was under a painting on top of my bed. I only looked at the painting which is 7.5 feet high on the wall because I saw 7 fecal stains at different heights going towards it. I threw the painting and hence dont know if there were others. It was weird to see fecals feet apart from each other as I always expected to see them on wall near baseboard/wall joint but these ones were randomly spread. Would you know of a reason for this aberrant appearance of fecal?
