    also of note:

-i have seen a couple adult cockroaches in the past month
-pretty sure if this is a bb it is a nymph. nothing came out when i squished it
-recently adopted a cat who has brought in fleas before
-i live in an older house and there are sometimes rodents in the walls
-the bug was not moving that fast, it is dead and a bit squished in the photo
-i have bites that do not itch (i know this isn't always a indicator, and in the summer i constantly have bites, am in the woods often
-i have some regular mosquito looking bites, but also this on my leg:

You have an issue with fleas, not bed bugs. Rodents in the walls? Squirrels? Mosquito-looking bites are from fleas.
