I found a cast skin a few days ago (and posted here though I can't find the op), and I'm sure it's a bed bug skin. It has six legs still attached which is why I feel it is bed bug over carpet beetle. I put a mattress encasement on my bed and have climb ups as of today.
While inspecting the casing, I found a carpet beetle! The fuzzy stage (forgive my ignorance).
    I've only been "bitten" once.

I did find fecal matter on my mattress as well, but not typical bed bug poop. It was little black balls instead or black smearable stains.

My question is, is it likely I have an infestation of both carpet beetles and bed bugs?
Or is it more likely that the cast skin (with legs) is somehow NOT a bed bug skin after all?
I will add a link to the skin, it is a terrible picture and unfortunately the sample was destroyed accidentally but you can see the legs a little.
