I found about ten varied carpet beetles hidden in my closet over the past few weeks and I washed everything in the bedroom. I then proceed to vacuum daily as well as mop for a few days which seemed to keep them at bay. Then today when I went to lay down after work I inspected the blanket just in case and found a NEW bug. Someone suggest it is a black carpet beetle but I am afraid it could be a bed bug? Can anyone ID this insect? It is very very tiny and the pictures are blown up as big as I could make them. It is just bigger then the head of a pin I would say. Thanks in advance! Hopefully the image links work.

It's a beetle, but not a black carpet beetle. Not sure which species, but not a dermestid (carpet beetle).

There is no way it is a bed bug is there? I did just install an air conditioner and am wondering if it could have come in through the window. I just don't want to deal with bugs again after the carpet beetle situation.

Re-read what I posted. No mention of the words bed bug.
