My children and are continuing to get bit after the first treatment in our beds. Is this still normal after our first treatment? How long does it take for a bed bug to die after crossing the insecticide? If residuals last a long while, why are subsequent treatment needed? If eggs hatch wouldn’t they die after crossing the poison as well? Just trying to better understand a residual treatment. Thanks!

As far as I'm aware, yes. Some bites are normal after treatment. My PCO has told me to expect a gradual tapering off over the course of 3 treatments, since eggs have to hatch before they can wander through poison.

I'll let an expert really tell you what's up, but if you've just had your first treatment I don't think it's time to worry yet.

    Good luck! This will end.
