We're considering moving and using this Vikane/moving truck situation. I was wondering if anyone had heard of them, whether they're reputable, and how much they cost.

BBFS used to participate here when they first started up.

People here have used them-- they also arrange service (as a sort of middle man). You can see some posts tagged BBFS here: http://bedbugger.com/forum/tags/bbfs

And probably more if you use our Google search box. Most people don't tag and I don't have time to tag everything now, so the tagged posts may skew older than what you find in search (top right).

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

I would go with them in heart beat. I've done extensive research into the fumigation process and have even talk to Andy Rafferty, the owner of BBFS. Ended up using a different company for my fumigation since I'm not even close to him and I think the fumigation failed. But I'd trust BBFS without a doubt.

I am not an expert, any advice I give should be considered as amateur advice and not taken as fact. I mean well with all my posts and try to give back. If you plan on using any of my advice, I suggest doing research into said advice to make sure it is in your best interest.

Thanks all. I realized after doing more research that they're not in my area (Lincoln, NE/midwest). Wish they were!

There's a second company named Bed Bugs and Beyond, which also acts as a middleman arranging service. You could try them. There are posts about them here: http://bedbugger.com/forum/tags/bed-bugs-and-beyond

This is not a personal recommendation (I haven't used them), but it may help you find someone who does this work close to you.

I wouldn't go through a middle man... you'll end up paying more and who knows if they are trustworthy. Call Douglas Products, who own the rights to vikane (sulfur flouride)(the fumigant). Explain to them that you are looking for companies in your state or area that are licensed to use vikane. You can even ask to talk to their regional manager for your area and talk to him. He'll let you know who is licensed and what not. They will help you out no doubt.
