I'm sorry if some of you have heard this before, but I really want to give a public (or kind of public thank-you to KillerQueen, who returned my sanity after one treatment.

The night before a minor surgery several months back I was reading in my bed, minding my own business, when I saw a bed bug crawling across the pillow next to me. Obviously I was horrified, particularly because I knew I would absolutely have to spend at least a couple days in bed after getting home from the hospital, and I didn't want to stay with anyone else lest I infest their apartment. I stayed up crying most of the night and was actually glad to check into the hospital the next morning!

I spent three miserable days with a large bandage on my arm, trying furiously to get in touch with my landlord. When someone finally did pick up the phone, they took a message and nobody ever called back. I found this forum, contacted KillerQueen, and heard back from him the same day. He took the time to talk me down as I was freaking out. He came over quickly (a couple of days) and treated the hell out of my apartment. Since then anytime I've been suspicious or worried - because obviously once you've had them you feel like every speck on your skin is a bite - he's been there to listen to me and give me helpful, practical advice. He's the best. I know it's early days for me to declare myself unequivocally BB free, but I do know that if I ever have evidence of them again, he will be able to take care of it. I really don't think there's a better feeling in the whole world for someone who has dealt with these little bastards - just that you know of something or someone that will make them GO AWAY.

I'm writing this out of sincere gratitude, respect, and desire to help others find a good PCO - I'm not benefiting financially or otherwise in any way from my "review."

So, thank you KillerQueen! You're the best.

I, too, must thank KillerQueen! He has made me feel like my apartment is a cozy little studio again...as opposed to a den of anxiety!

I completely flipped out when I saw a BB, legs, up, twitching in my bathtub. It likely migrated up from an apartment a few stories below mine that had just undergone a BB extermination. KillerQueen talked me down off of a proverbial ledge and came to the rescue rapidly. He is unbelievably knowledgeable, reassuring, and thorough. I live in a building with a bit of a "problem," so I realize that until I move, I will be at risk; however, I know that if an issue arises, my dog and I can depend on him to eradicate these vampiric pests.

LOL...you wanna come do my house next...

ugh I know about the lengthy treating though. I recently found the lil buggers when I was removing my mattress to get a new bed. Since then I have been washing and bagging everything and on Sunday I did a sweep with Pro Bug X that my exterminators provided to me which took me all day and most of the night and I need to repeat this again on Sunday...ugh...someone shoot me now!

    Yes! Thank you KillerQueen!

He returned today for treatment 2. I am convinced that he prevented hell-on-earth (that too many of you know too well) from transpiring in my apartment. I am forever grateful and know that if ever (god-forbid!) a friend, colleague, or, I have a problem, I know who to call.

I'm looking forward to crawling into bed tonight and am pleased to know that the only nesting in my apartment will be by my dog - the way that it should be!

KillerQueen is basically the only thing keeping me off the ledge these days! Not only does he provide amazing, quality work, he also takes time to answer my crazy PMs and questions on the phone. Also (and I think this speaks volumes about the type of person he is), he keeps reminding me to stay calm. Being 23, living alone for the first time, working all day and going to graduate school at night, it's easy to get completely and totally overwhelmed and freaked out. I've just had my second treatment with KQ, and while there may be more to come, I'm confident that he's the guy who will fix this all!

    Thanks again kpabarue =)

I'm always here to help with PM's or calls... never second guess the thought... I'm here with you during this time. A good thing ... I think your land lord has reached out to me. I received a call from a land lord today... and will be talking in the coming hours. I returned his call... Now I'm waiting for a call back from him.

Success! Just read an email from the landlord that he'll let KQ come and treat the apartment below me! They were so excited. I am so excited. Maybe things are on the up and up!

Oh my goodness I am so happy for you! It is wonderful that your LL is taking this seriously now. At least you can get a good nights sleep tonight knowing that the unit downstairs will be properly treated. Wonderful job in educating your LL mine would not even call KQ for education purposes they seem to think walmart spray is sufficient even after I sent them a detailed letter from KQ. I am tempted to pack up and move to NY myself at this point so I can have KQ treat I have no highly trained specialists in my area from what I have researched it is very disheartening

I would like to Thanks killer queen as well. He called me back right within the time frame that his voice mail says he would. Had logical smart advice, was very ethical, though he felt he could not help with the bugs in my house ( he kindly identified from email pics ) due to chem failures he directed me to the best method for my situation, an honest man and incredibly professiona. Good kama surely goes his way as I have read of his many successful treatments. Thanks so much mostly because now I am hoping again that someday this will end.

    regards, bugged18

I had a second treatment today and my PCO surprised me by knowing who KQ is even though we are in New Hampshire. he said that he went to some sort of seminar or training and that KQ was a guest speaker. I don't know if this is correct it if he was mixing KQ up with someone else but thinking that he may have received any sort of info directly from KQ I felt a little bit better!

Thank You bugged18 .. I hope you take my advice and find a good company to help you resolve the issues we discussed.

eatenalivenh .. I know I’m a loud mouth .. But I did not do any stand up comedy that anyone would have attended with regards to bed bugs. Not many people even know me in the pest control industry.. As I kind of fly below the radar & pretty much enjoy it that way. Until I make BOOT A PEST Inc. a house hold name

Forget Dolly the Sheep, lets clone KQ...

I know the name who owns all the cloning patents, I will give him a call if you want but as the licensing and re licensing has man him a millionare a few times over I think it might be a costly answer to the US BB problem. Happy to call him if you want a quote, after you raise the funds there are only a few hurdles from the ethics department to deal with and a 30+ year wait for the clone to grow into an adult.

I think its more productive to look at the apprentice type model and work on the basis that people train for long periods of time before they are released to work alone. I was trying to explain this to someone the other day and the best summary is:

2 months supervised training dealing with 3 to 4 cases per day 5 days a week from commercial to domestic. About 120 GB of electronic training material including over 2500 Insect ID images and about 7000 step by step room decon photos and 1 days external health and safety training to be legally able to work unsupervised and you have a basic grade technician.

Within 6 months you know if they are suitable to train to the next level.

Its a slow process trying to grow a team this specialist and as I have said before you need to look below the pest control radar and well outside of the box.

But hey I can still call the cloning guy if you want.

David, you clearly did not see Star Trek. They did it a whole bunch of times, and usually in just one episode. By my calculation that's LESS than 60 minutes if you count all the commericals.

So Im not sure where you get your "information" from. Sheesh...

I know they can be persistent pests but they are hardly klingons.

    OK puns over.

Anyone who wants to communicate with KillerQueen should simply click the green link UNDER ANY POST by KQ, the link which says "PM this user."

There's no need to announce you are going to do it either. Most people who've been here more than a week know to check their PMs.

If you're new, go to http://bedbugger.com/forum/pm or click the links at the top of the main forums page, or the green "messages" button on any page (main page at left, other pages at bottom) to see if YOU have any.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

If we are going to use Star Trek technology...then I think we might want to consider a Vulcan Mind Meld to transfer the knowledge... much shorter time frame...

The Vulcan Mind Meld - I had forgotten about that!

I think we're getting too complicated though - all we need do is photocopy KQ and paste up his image in bb infested rooms. Now, is that genius or what:)?
