My daughters and I began getting bites 5 weeks ago. Three different dogs came at oneweek interval and cleared our house. We still get bites every morning and found several times blood spots on our sheets. Also we still have mosquitoes in our house despite of the cold weather. The three owners of the well-reputed dogs are two hundred percent sure we don't have bed bugs. Here are some pictures, can you give me your advice ? :

I searched for living bed bugs, black stains or eggs but did not find anything except from carpet beetle skins.

I sent the picture of the insect today to an entomologist, and he told me it was no mosquito. I am really desparate. Anybody having an advice here ?

My children told me yesterday that they hear sometimes something scratching in the attics. Could it be that our bites come from rodent or bird mites ? The question is that I read bird mites could bite at night, but taht they bite indifferently parts of the body, whereas my daughters and I get bitten on the uncovered parts of our body. Anybody knows something about that ?
