in bed bug treatment, bed bugs in apartments, pesticides

This list from, a Pest Control industry website, shows all the products labeled for us against bed bugs in the USA. It helpfully classifies those labeled for spraying on mattresses, and those not labeled for mattresses.

It’s now in the sidebar under Bed Bug Information (and then under “Pesticides Labeled…”) so you can find it when you need it. does not encourage people to self-treat their bed bug infestations, because it is usually not the fastest or best way to get rid of bed bugs, and it can often make them much worse.

We hope readers will find and employ a good PCO, who knows bed bugs. However, we do encourage people to ask their PCOs what they’ve used and where.

Anyone with concerns should check this list.

Also from Pinto and Associates, the authors of the Techletter, a guide for apartment managers dealing with bed bugs. (Again, added to the links, under “For Apartment Managers”.)

Pinto and Associates are also marketing a new Handbook on Bed Bug Control, primarily to PCOs, hotel and apartment managers, and other professionals dealing with bed bugs. The co-authors are Larry Pinto, Rick Cooper, and Sandy Kraft, and the book will ship in late October. Pre-orders are $62 before October 15th, then the price will rise to $72. Bedbuggers won’t likely purchase this book themselves, but we can hope our landlords and hoteliers and other business-owners do.
