Zombie bedbugs (TM)
(5 posts)-
OK this one is a massive heads up to any home experimenters out there.
I cant go into details for legal reasons but I have been testing some new things this week. One of them appeared to have a 100% kill rate on all life stages in 24 hours. Unfortunately 24 hours later 3 of the bedbugs have woken up and are running around again.
I am restarting the test to see if I get the same result the second time around but if you are playing at home with a new treatment method keep your dead bedbugs in a safe and secure way until you are 100% sure they are dead.
It would not have been too hard for them to climb out of my office bin and cause havoc in the office.
Failing all that it is now company policy to PackTite closet all experiments before the isolation seals are broken.
Just be careful and keep it safe out there.

A true zombie should eat living specimens of its species...

Lou has reported this with bed bugs which were not frozen for long enough.
Not good that you're seeing results with some other method.

Now that would be a nice development: bed-bug-eating bed bugs.
Even if they only want the
BRAINS!!!
