Does anyone else frustratingly find small holes along the seams or run into other issues with these supposedly "invaluable" bags? Whether they go through heavy use or not, I periodically will run into a full bag of clean clothes that I have to re-wash and dry, just because I feel a small breeze of air when I press gently on the bag to make sure it's intact. This is ridiculous! As if our lives aren't complicated and full enough! I'm in the process of contacting Ziploc about this.

Does anyone have any suggestions for storage that keeps bed bugs out for these things? I wish beyond anything that rubbermaids were air tight, because I'd gladly spend more on them to keep my clothes safe.

What's even worse about all of this is we had a dog come in (from a reputable company) and give us the all clear! I shouldn't have to worry about a pair of socks from a bag with a hole in them anymore! I shouldn't even have to take a shower before a jog anymore, either. This is beyond ridiculous!

I've also noticed that ziplocs do develop holes. Like 3" from the bottom where the pleat meets the edge. I reinforce with some tape and swap bags periodically. Definitiely contact SC Johnson.

High quality duct tape for repair.... Pallet wrap for Rubbermaid style storage containers....

BugZip makes some interesting products that might be more durable for continuous use...

I have not had a lot of issues with holes in ziplocs, but I had a few dud zippers. I would keep an eye on them.

BugZip is a good product, but the manufacturer will tell you it is not designed for long-term use, so you do have to kind of inspect them from time to time as well, and they may eventually need to be replaced.

Emmm, if you're PCO has given you the all clear and all your bags were cleaned-dried, why are you still re-washing everything if you find a small hole? Couldn't you start taking your clothes out of plastic bags now? Just wondering.

You'd think so, but even the reputable dog guy said we should say vigilant until we just can't take it anymore-- and that's after a dog gave the all-clear.

The other problem is I'm moving. So we don't want to move anything by accident. Right now I'm mostly just worried that something in a vapona'd contractor bag somehow lived (if there was a hole in the bag) and will come out if I'm not careful with re-packing.

Anyways, I contacted Ziploc and they claim they're sending me a coupon for more ziplocs. I'm mighty impressed-- especially if I get it soon.
