    concerned,
There's no rule here since a lot depends on his attitude.Does he take them seriously or is he more non chalant about them? If he's taking the proper precautions you should be fine,if not then not.Is he isolating clothing, keeping it clean, bagged, ect.?Is he getting treatment for them?If the answers are no,you should be worried.

    concerned,
That doesn't sound too good to me.I think you have good reason to be concerned.Do what you think best under the circumstances.

I have had to deal with removing funiture that has bedbugs for about three years now I take all the precautions I know what to look for I have never taken them home I inspect my own home all the time but this is driving me nuts I have been itchy all weekend and I'm afraid my employer is gonna tell I have to just deal with it.

    concerned,
Your job involves bb's? Then they must have a shower there to prevent your own infestation,no? If your job directly or indirectly involves bb's and you have access to a shower facility at your job,I'd say risk is minimal.Just bag all work clothes and go home in clean clothes.Pco's are exposed to the same risks,as are others. If you're too paranoid or there is no shower and changing facilities,I'd think about changing jobs to one that has these.Good luck

no theres no shower and I have been thinking it might be time for a new job and with this new employee that has bedbugs well it seems its not even worth the risk anymore not having someone sit so close that has them you'de think I have rights to like choice if I wated to even work with him I'm starting to think I should seek legal advice.

concerned - oh my goodness, what a tough situation you're in. If it were possible to get a comparable job with less risk of BBs then you should consider it.

As for legal advice: No, your employer is not providing a safe work environment. But, there may not be laws or federal regulation covering this issue. In any case, some lawyers charge nothing for an initial consultation and others may charge something relatively low, like $150-250. Do some research on the right attorney to see if you go that route. I don't know if there is legal aid that could help with this.

Lest people think I am a litigious crank, I do not necessarily mean that Concerned should try to sue his employer. I am wondering if legal support could help him (I assume) negotiate with his employer, for maybe a shower or a change in partner, etc.
