    I have not used one of these but the Woot.com item for today is a $10 Garrity 1 Watt LED headlamp (with 2 red LEDs) which may be of use for detection. (They normally run about $24 on Amazon.)

    Trust me, for dusting or caulking all the nooks and crannies all over the place you will want a headlamp.

    I may have a permanent imprint on my forehead from wearing mine for days on end.

    It was invaluable crawling deep into the closets dusting the wall carpet junctions where no light reached and caulking under shelves.

    Leaves you hands free to kill bugs too.

    Good point about caulking, Jim.

    I just bought one because I can see lots of other possible uses: reading in bed, looking in the car's hood, etc. The hands-free factor is valuable. (Note: woot does add on $5 shipping charge, but it looks like you can buy more than one and pay for one shipping charge. note: I don't have any connection with Woot.)
