Will bedbug bites appear all at once?

On Sunday night, I stayed at a hotel and awoke with 8-10 bites. I don't know for certain they were bedbugs, but assuming they are, would all of the bites from that night likely appear that morning, since I "immediately" exhibited an allergic reaction?
I ask, because I moved hotels and did everything I could to kill any bed bugs that may have travelled with me (I heated up my luggage and things I couldn't wash in excess of 120 degrees, I washed and dried all of my clothes, I sprayed my luggage and other non washable items with bedbug spray) but I awoke this morning (Thursday morning) with more bites.
Is it possible that some of the bites are just now appearing from bites on Sunday night? If not, does that likely mean the bb have now infested this hotel? And if so, does that mean I will likely bring them home? I am going home today, and I don't want to infest my home.
Any thoughts or advice us great appreciated.
