I have been getting bites occasionally for about a year. I have tried the vacuming, sheet 'boiling', clothes bleaching and the rest. During last years winter (Boston area) I seemed to have taken care of the problem as I was bite free for almost 5 months. But the first of August I got a bite. Then over the past couple of weeks, every few days I would get another . Night before last I got 2 bites in different places in the same night!! So I guess the buggers are back. My husband has NEVER gotten a bite. Anyone out there have the same situation? Why me and not he?

There are actually plenty of reports of this happening. If you have bed bugs, and they are biting you, it's possible that your husband simply doesn't react to the bites.

The fact that he isn't getting bitten (or is getting bitten but isn't reacting) doesn't tell you much.

Have you inspected for signs? Have you found any?

(for what it's worth, there's no proof that bleach has any effect on bed bugs. Hot water followed by a long time in a very hot dryer will. )

Have you read the FAQs, esp, the one about telling if you have bed bugs? http://bedbugger.com/faqs/identifying-the-problem-do-i-have-bed-bugs-or-something-else/

If you have confirmed yourself that you're pretty sure you have bed bugs, have you contacted a professional to come in and inspect and begin treatment? Those would seem to be the best next steps to me.

Phew I'm sounding like a broken record hehe

I have never had bite marks. Months ago I was breaking out in a rash on my cheeks but eventually that stopped. If it weren't for the actual bugs I find, I would never know I had bbs at all.

also, no one else in my family reacts to bites either. I KNOW we're getting bitten because the suckers I find are plump.

They have been feasting on my poor wife for three months. I have had six visible bites.

Yup, happens all of the time. They are biting you just as much as they are biting her. Her body is more sensitive to the bites and that's why it seems she's bit more often. Hundreds of bites? Sounds like you guys have a terrible infestation. Get a PCO in there if you haven't already.
