while i wait for my PCO...

i found a bedbug on my sheet last night at around 4am. i lifted my matress up to discover 3 more live ones. i've informed the super and they've called a PCO who is going to come in a week and a half. in the mean time i've been preparing to bag my clothes and wash them in hot water, dry them on hot, and then place them in new bags for use.
my question is, what should i be doing in the mean time? the PCO said to spray the mattress and place DE around the baseboards. a week and a half seems like a long time. i'm also concerned that they're only going to be treating my unit (i live in a three story apartment building mixed residential and commercial). to make matters more complicated i am moving at the end of november.
is it enough to get treated for a month, launder and spray everything, move into a new place and hope for the best? any advice?
i'm a little shaken by this. any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
