What are these marks? What are these bites? +Travel question

Hello!
Please help me. So a month ago I went to Georgia + Armenia and camped and stayed in guest houses. Had a great time, I can show you my photo album if you're interested. Anyway, I got a lot of bug bites while camping mostly, because in the region of Svaneti were a lot of these crazy biting flies that sucked your blood. So I got a lot of awful marks on my feet and hands that are still there.
But I have been home now, for about 4 days and am still itchy. I think I am getting new bites though. Also, an unkempt hippy chick subletted my room while i was gone, so that makes me concerned to.
It may be possible that one of the Georgian guesthouses had bedbugs, and that I brought them home with me in my backpack. I have put that stuff in the dryer to heat it up, and am gradually putting luggage and stuff in my car where it will roast in the sun.
I have washed my sheets, vacuumed my mattress and futon (no box spring), ordered an encasement for the mattress, and will probably put the futon outside in the hot sun. I don't really want to lose it yet, it's comfortable. I have yet to see a single bug. These definitely look like bed bug bites. And are these stains on my futon 100% bed bug excrement? i haven't found any holes in my mattress or futon where they may live, though.
Also, my bed frame had a metal piece where the mattress sits and wooden posts on each corner. I will try to tape up over any holes, and buy some DE to set around it.
Here are the recent bites: http://i.imgur.com/ZS3oQ.jpg
I also have others on my toes and arms

I cannot find any other signs of bugs
Please help me.
Thank you. -
Hi, Neckbeard. I'm not good at ID-ing bites or poop marks, so I've asked a fellow member to take a look. All your explanations are plausible (bites are from your trip and brought none home, bites are from your trip and you brought some home, your sublesee brought some, your place had some coincidentally). I would review our FAQ "end to end" to get a solid overview of bed bugs (what they are and are not) how to detect and how to fight them (including how to use DE). Meanwhile, I hope you're not infested, but if you are, we can help get you through this. Welcome.

My first thought is they appear rather large, when i enlarge on my phone it gets blurry.
Is this under the mattress ? -
Yes, this was under the futon and above the mattress on which i sleep.
I sleep on blanket, over futon, on top of a mattress cover, on top of a mattress by the way.
