so, i live in nyc, the hotbed of bedbugs.
i was in yoga class and a small brown bug crawled along the mat. i was using the studio's mat, blanket, etc. i flicked it off the mat and killed it with my thumbnail... but got kind of freaked out that maybe there were more where that came from, and that they were creeping into my hair/clothes as i did my stretches and lay on the mat. eek! i know i sound paranoid.... but... should i be concerned or take any preventative measures?
my best description of the bug:
body about this size: o (or a teeny bit smaller)
    round/oval and shiny/smooth looking
    head distinctly separate from body
    butterscotch brown color
    crawling along
    no visible wings
    scary!!

Click on the FAQ's above and it'll link you to photos of bed bugs. Since you can't post a photo of the bug you saw, that would be your best bet. Hopefully it wasn't a bed bug, but since they aren't just in beds, anything's possible.
