Warped experiment from 1916
(6 posts)-
Discovered this in the 1934 BB report...
Could have been called the parasite death match. ;)
Hall, H.C (1916): Milit. Surg., 39, 474 (from Rev. Appl. Ent.). Typhus fever.
“The body louse, P. humanus, when placed in a bottle with head lice,
P, capitas, Bed-bugs and raw meat, will first kill and devour the head
lice, then the Bed-bugs, then the raw meat, then become cannibals.”Somehow the idea of watching something kill and eat a BB makes smile.

LOL, Jim! What a bizarre experiment!

that's probably because body lice are the biggest critters there. How come they didn't use crab lice in the match too? that's not fair to crab lice aka pubic lice aka public lice.

LOL, Jim! What a bizarre experiment!Exactly Kate. Sounds like a kids science project. I could think up whacked experiments and write papers. Somebody give me a grant and a lab! Muahahahahah!!!
Really what was the guy trying to prove or accomplish with this. It was just a parasite death match.

Gimme a grant and a lab! ;)
