does anyone have any experience with getting your furniture / clothing / entire contents of a small 1 bedroom apartment Vikane treated ?

basically the bed bug moving company packed/bagged/moved my entire NYC apartment except for the contents of my fridge (which wasnt much) and 2 plants into a 26' moving truck for Vikane treatment.

the Vikane treatment company (bed bugs and beyond) tells me this is 1000% effective and anything harboring in my clothes/furniture/everything that they packed will die.

will all my stuff be bedbug free post treatment and safe to move into a new apartment ?

If you followed the prep instructions and the firm doing the treatment knows what they're doing, Vikane should get rid of those bed bugs 100%.

Like anything, it can go wrong. You want an experienced and knowledgeable team involved in the treatment (and moving the stuff to the new place, too).

I assume the treatment is being done in the truck itself (so you don't expose your stuff to a potentially infested second truck, as you might if the stuff was unloaded), right?

Potential areas of reinfestation: stuff you don't treat (even shoes or handbag you have with you), your car, workplace, new apt.-- you want to make sure all these are ruled out as possible sources of a continuing problem.

i didnt do any of the prep instructions. the moving company did - moving right along NYC. they supposedly have a ton of experience with this stuff. got their info from M&M environmental who are pros at this stuff in nyc. theyre so nice and knowledgeable.

bed bugs and beyond is doing the fumigation of the truck. my stuff will be in storage for 1 month at moving right along's facility which im told is bed bug free. that might be the re-infest point im thinking.

i have a bag of clothing with me. which i have washed multiple times, dried 2x each wash, then packtite'd the items afterwards. overkill i know but i dont want to risk anything as i am staying at a friends. oh and ive had a bed bug dog here too, negative.

work seems to be safe, i havent seen anything there at all.

It sounds like you're covering all the bases.
