I saw this in PCT Online and thought it was an unusual service (though thermal trucks are not a unique idea, they do not seem common yet) and might be helpful for someone.

Abatem gives you a traditional spray treatment in your home, while heat treating your belongings in a truck. It seems like one spray treatment might not be enough to eliminate all bed bugs in the home, and this is something you should discuss with the provider before hiring them; however, utilizing this service might be a great way to move without bed bugs.

    6. Abatem Exterminating Introduces MobileHeat Treatment Unit

    (paragraph deleted) ...

Using the heat treatment truck is labor intensive but produces excellent results, Abatem reports. All of the furniture and household items need to be moved into the insulated truck and the temperature is raised to a lethal level. Multiple temperature sensors, indicator lights and digital temperature displays for each of the sensors provide accurate monitoring during the treatment process. Over temperature alarms will light if the temperature exceeds a preset level.

As the contents are heat treated, the empty dwelling is then treated with a residual pesticide. Treating an empty dwelling is much more effective than treating a dwelling that is cluttered with furniture and other household items. This procedure forces the tenant to remove clutter as part of the process.

The Abatem Mobile Heat Treatment Unit also pulls behind it a trailer that holds portable clothes dryers for the heat treatment of clothing, bedding and other soft items. This eliminates the possible contamination of the local laundromat by tenants who do not have laundry facilities on site.
For more information on the Mobile Heat Treatment (patent pending) contact Dan or Patrick Dente at 802/254-84134 or visit abatemexterminating.webs.com.

    - A giant "packtite" on wheels, OMG!
    - The company also offers to build these units for others. This is important. A lot of what we need to fight BB is already "out there". It takes the savvy, courage and persistence to put it all together and bring it to market. This is one of those things and I applaud them.
    - I hope that we don't end up with hissyfits on the forum between the guys who claims to own the patent on the term "bed bug truck" and "bed bug thermal truck".

I have my own early designs for a similar concept but California laws about pest control are too massive to ever make one unless you are a pest control firm with mucho licenses already.

Long ago I saw that chamber Vikane was common but nobody had chamber thermal and sais the thermal guys were not providing what could be a very beneficial service.

It is more an HVAC challenge than a pest one to create one of these. The internal circulation would be critical.

Using it becomes a pest control issue and the labyrinth of licenses comes into play.

Of course as Cilecto said patent suits and all that stuff as well. Pretty sure Thermapure or Temp Air would want my head on a pike.
