Vacuuming after Caulking?

   We had our baseboards sealed up to try to prevent reinfestation from neighbor.
   We've read that it is essential vacuum very vigorously with crevice device. Now that the baseboards have been caulked, is it just regular vacuuming or still "vigorously"--seems that might hurt some of the caulking?
