Hi !

I received my new mattress covers yesterday, so I installed them and all. This night with the covers + tape on the bed legs (although I see NO bb on the tape strips) I only found babies this morning and I have only 4-5 new bites (which is a huuuuuuuuuuge improvement from dozens of them at a time).

Could it be that my mattress was the only place infected ? I know I have found one on a box in the living room 2 weeks ago, and 3 on the couch (who also has a mattress cover now) but I think those last ones are some I brought from my bed in my long pj's in the morning (I now change clothes as soon as I wake up).

second question : Would using a blow dryer work on my pet's scratching post (which is in the living room) ? or on the tons of papers I have (I'm a student) ?

A blow dryer could blow pretty hot heat, but the heat would have to be applied well over 20 minutes. But the real problem is if the heat was focused on one spot at a time, the bed bugs would just scramble away to a cooler area. The entire item would have to be heated all at one time.

I can't tell if you have other areas infested. Several on the couch suggests you have a problem there.

You could try wrapping it in a thin towel and ironing or blow dry slowly it on hot preferably low fan, I recommend you place it on a white sheet in case you blow anything off and then throw the sheet in the dryer.

Thank you !!!! I don't have the money for the pack tite, and I'll ask, but I don't think the pest control company I'm with would have them for rent... ^^
