People report not being able to feel bed bugs walking on them. So I would doubt the feeling of the sheet being pulled is from bed bugs.

Bed bug fecal also isn't flakes (like pepper) but rather something that is on the fabric like a stain or firmly attached to surfaces like wood.

Loose flecks can be fleas and you can buy a cheap flea trap which plugs in to rule them out.

Bed bug monitors can be purchased on the Useful Stuff page (which also has links to FAQs about them). A passive monitor may be more help-- co2 monitors see to work better if they are used when you're not sleeping there.

That tiny bit of information was increadibly helpful to me Nobugs, I am going to go out on Monday and get a flea trap, and because I know I haven't seen those kind of stains anywhere, but I have "maybe" seen the peppery flakes, I am going to try it for sure. And even though I've been reading this site religiously for the past month, I don't think anyone has put the flea/BB poop situation down as neatly as you just did. It just lit a bulb in my head!
    Thank you.
