Last night my girlfriend told me she had a few bites on her body. They looked like mosquito bites. We didn't think anything of it, until this morning at about 5:00am I woke up and my back felt itchy. I went into the bathroom and noticed some bites on my back (6 or so), they looked like mosquito bites and felt like them too. I also have one on my thigh.

I've been freaking out all day, and we washed and dried the bed sheets and pillow cases (hot water/hottest drying cycle). She just moved into the apartment a few weeks ago, and we hadn't noticed a problem until now. We sleep on a 4" memory foam mattress on the floor because we haven't gotten around to buying a futon yet (college students).

Before we washed everything we searched and couldn't find any bed bugs anywhere. There was some blood on my pillow, but I have acne and sometimes it bleeds. I've never had any bites on my face anyway that I have noticed.

I've been looking all day for evidence of bedbugs. We slid the mattress away from the wall (it's in a corner) and I've been looking a the area between the wooden floor and the wall, under the molding. I haven't seen anything that I think is a bedbug, but I have seen a few really really tiny white bugs crawling on the floor. They're super tiny, and they're not tan or brown or anything. They're very very light. I don't think I have a good enough camera for a picture, but I will try as soon as I find another one. Do you think these are likely to be bed bugs?
