    Hi guys.

Ive discovered that I had bedbugs about 3 weeks ago! I waited til 2am and found 1 live one on my mattress and 2 live ones on my box spring. The public housing people told me they would spray in 2 weeks and being a freaked out student in summer school, I left my apartment. I took a bag of clothing that was washed in hot water and dried on high heat. On the other hand, I think I failed on other respects.

    1. I bagged my clothing without washing them for my PCO spraying (no inspection, just a curt 2 week spraying list placing)
    2. I left my apartment
    3. I have yet to go back since the the spray last week to put my mattress and box spring in encasements (provided by the public housing people which I am afraid to trust)
    4. I couldnt be there for the PCO visit (was given a vague all day visit time)

    Here are my future plans
    1. Return and wash the items that are bagged away
    2. Put my box spring and mattress in an encasement eventhough its been 1 week since I was sprayed and steamed
    3. Buy a climbup interceptors
    4. Save to get a proper encasement

As a student, I am extremely strapped for cash and which means that I cannot get certain items right away. I cannot afford to move away either which only increases my grief. Did I mention that my bites swell and itch really badly? I guess thats a good thing because it allowed me to deduce that I had a problem quickly (that and my paranoia about getting bedbugs after watching some television special).

Is there anyway to salvage this situation?
Is there hope that I can deal with this in MY apartment eventhough my neighbours/building is the source of this problem?

Water proof covers From walmart work well. They are only about 10 dollars, as a safe guard i also duck taped the zipper and the other end where the zipper stars. My pillows (I bought separate pillow covers (also duck taped on both sides of zipper) and mattress and box springs are all encased the same way. So far they are air tight and haven't had a problem!
