They're baaack!!!
(1 post)-
Call me in-touch, or hyper-aware, but I can catch a bed bug, and find them, just by being curious. Just today, one day after I thought I was bug-free (Ok, I'm lying to myself), I went on a good old-fashioned bug hunt. Forget the bed, too easy and too white, since I just purchased a brand new futon. I turned my wooden DVD shelf around and found: 1 nymph, so small it scattered as I tried to catch it and fell on the floor. Then I saw and captured (YES!!) a medium one, a cycle 3-4, and put it in a medicine bottle to better observe it. The thing is, it was near the bed, on a unit I had already vacuumed. The bedding has been washed in hot, dried in hot, the clothes are not really suspect, since I have yet to ever find one in or on clothes. When I sleep on the couch, I never get bit. These fuckers are just in one room. Here are my questions:
1. Eggs: How long is one cycle before hatching in a 13-day period?
2. How resilient are nymphs before they've had their feeding? When is the best time of day, for example to kill them?
3. Who would like my collection? Just kidding!
