It's possible to have an allergic reaction to bed bugs, carpet beetles (which do not require actual carpeting), or other pests. You can't tell by the appearance of the "bites". Also, bed bugs could bite you in another location and there can be a delay in reacting.

You might consider ruling out fleas using a plug-in flea trap, and monitoring for bed bugs using a BBAlert Passive or ClimbUp Interceptors. More in this FAQ on detection.

thanx for the reply!!! but i was wondering if the bites them selvs can spread with itching? sounds crazy but the 2 on my foot started out as 2 bumps but now with my obsesive itching they seem to have to spread like a poison ivy or something like literely the bumps are enlongated where i am scratching like a trail or tear drop....its starnge is this possible?

Sometimes bite reactions do get worse in time (regardless of itching or not).
We don't know a lot about bed bug bite reactions, and I know less about other types.
It seems possible itching can make a welt worse.

But it's also possible there are other explanations for the suspected "bite" reactions. Bed bug bites are an allergic reactions, and so may be many other reactions which occur from other sources.

Do consider some cheap passive monitors per my original post above. It can take some time, but if you have bed bugs, they may help alert you.
