When people say keep the climbups dusted with talc, what kind of talc exactly are they talking about? Talcum powder, like "Shower to Shower" that you get in the health and beauty section of the store? Or is there some special kind of talc?

Sorry to bump this up (but figured it's better than starting a new thread).

We use the climb-ups and have caught carpet beetles, which is fantastic in that we've caught nothing else. *L* They've been great as passive monitors so far, I think. Especially when I'm taking off for a weekend-- checking them puts me a bit more at ease about visiting others (I still took precautions, though. I'm not allowed to anymore).

Anyways, we get a lot of dust and random cat hair in them, and switch 'em out when needed, but I'd really like to refill them instead of buying new ones. Will Johnson's Baby Powder be alright to use? It's so hard to find straight-up taclum powder here in Canada. Not even Walmart seems to have it, being that it's fallen out of favour in so many products. Will the fragrance in some baby powders, even the unscented ones, defect bed bugs from trying to come in them? I'm a fan of these climbups so far, but I'd rather not screw 'em up.

I have yet to catch any sort of BB or even any bug in them (all five queen bed legs are climb-upped). And this includes numerous nights where my wife is geting bites on a bed which has bene double encased (mattress and boxspring), pesticide-treated, double sided sticky taped up the legs, bed steamed and sheets removed and double dried nightly and kept in a sealed ziplocked bag by day, etc. .... Bed is kept a foot away from the wall and sheets are not touching the floor. The BB's evidently either get on and off the bed without using the legs, either via us or our cat as mules. Does anyone know how frequently one should add talc? Does one clean out the moats thoroughly first? I really don't want to have to replace them as the bed ways a ton and I'd need to either remove the mattress and boxspring or jack it up or something.
