We have been getting bitten for over one year. We have not seen a BB since fall 2007, over one year ago. We have all the other signs, especially the blood on the sheets and the bites of course with holes in the center. Fee and act the same as confirmed BB bites. I can't find a reputable PCO to treat my home. My husband began doing it in the late fall, but now he has some type of lesion found on his lung and has to have another x-ray tomorrow to see what it might be. I am petrified that he has done damage to himself with DE or something else and am simply beside myself with anxiety and panic. I need a PCO in the Greater Cincy area that does not need to see a bug to treat. Recommendations? We used Terminex and they will come back, but they fan sprayed EVERYTHING and I am now afraid due to the scare with my darling hubby.

So sorry to hear about your hubby. Dealing with health issues has to be one of the most stressful things to happen while fighting BB's.

I was curious as to what exactly you mean by "fan spray" Call me ignorant, but I haven't heard this term.

My husband, kids, and I live in northern Cincy and we live in an apartment. We've had 3 treatments done by a company so far over the span of a month and a half (every other week). Our infestation has rapidly dwindled and I'm confident that we'll be bug free before our big move.

We had our first treatment and the next day saw some increase in activity in our son's room. I've read that this is normal because they are trying to escape the poison. The second time they came out we saw very little activity. 5 days ago we had our third treatment and we've seen only 3 nymphs since (one in our room which had obviously not fed in a while...none have been seen in here for over 3 weeks...could have come from our boys coming in and out and two in their room which was a very heavily infested room). We haven't seen any adults in about three weeks either :D. The company has been spraying the baseboards and ceilings in every room and closet with demand and gentrol.

The unfortunate side of it and partially why I believe we need so many treatments is because we're sure we got them from our neighbors who went over a year without telling our landlord they were infested. There was a language barrier, and because of it spread to 3 conjoining apartments. We were the one right above, and bedbugs are known to travel up after feeding.

The company my landlord uses is Extermital. I was really apprehensive about the job they would do because they didn't inspect. They saw the signs w/o bugs and took my word for it, but so far it seems to be going well. They are working with one of the top entomologists from University of Kentucky. Prior my landlord used Terminex, but he told me they weren't being thorough enough with treatment (even though in my opinion their rep was more knowledgeable and friendly...sympathetic too).

Either way, thermal should be your relief ticket!

I know they have a website, so just Google them. I believe they service the greater Cincy area. Hope this helps and I truly hope everything turns out ok with your husband. Best of luck and hopeful happy holidays!
