Got Bed Bugs? Bedbugger Forums » General Topics
strategy, sound good?
(1 post)-
ok so pco thinks he can do 2 treatments to rid these buggers (already did 3 using phantom, suspend, tempo dust and bedlam). tempodust sucked. more residuals and steaming furniture. i have to tell them no tempo.
i moved. dumb. anyway. he said take all my books and things I don't need everyday and put them out in my truck. this will be hard as I am 95 lbs. and ill, but I will try to move as much down there as possib;e. supposed to be below freezing for at least a week here in Buffalo. then take out, inspect after treatment. redo laundry. clean vacuum.
ok. now my truck I forgot to ask him but I bought isopropyl alcohol and hot shots bedbug killer and murphy's soap and an industrial face mask. is it safe to use hot shots/pyrethrine in a car? can I spray it indoors, on what would it work best. I heard pyrethrine is good. what should I use in my car?someone said murphy's and bedlam. what about murphy's and hot shots?
the other things i am thinking aboutare my bathroom, kitchen and hall closet cupboards. it is unlikely they are there amidst my dishes, medicine and tools, but what if they are--got mixed up in the move? I reallycan't take all of that out to freeze. I am too frail to do so much moving. plus it all won't fit. can I spray what in there just for peace of mind? the alcohol? murphys? After I moved I rewashed all dishes and tupperware. i never saw a bug in either old or new kitchen, bathroom or hall closet.
I am bemcoming buddhist. throwing things out.
also, my winter jacket is down feathers. i think they may be in there after washing hot. this possible? I guess I have to throw it out buy a jacket easier to wash.
i bought sticky tape to try to catch one. got bit two nights ago.
the pco said I could treat the mattress with alcohol but not everyhig. why not everything? I want these things gone, every chemical known to man on them. which is a lot for someone who won't even take tylenol re: chemical sensivity. i have noticed since moving from the pesticide drenched apartment I am feeling much better/thinking clearer although there was also black mold there. my sinuses are somuch better, no headache, no irritability. i asked them to use gentrol, they said no. why? they said no evidence igr's work. huh? are they just trying to rip me off for more treatments?wouldn't igr...take care of the problem long term? without lots of other stuff?
also, is it possible the bugs could survive a hot laundering? that this is how i carried them---in my CLEAN clothes? Will I have to throw all my clothes out?
I have so many books. my sister brough by stuff in the hall outside of my apartment. myneighbors must wonder what I am doing throwing out everything and not movig in entirely. I sold some of those books, threw out some of the stuff she brought. the rest is in the hall unbagged. I bet that is suspct now too.I just haven't been able ill to keep up with the labor intenseness of this, though more than previous.
also what about the bedbug diy pack they sell in NYC with bedlam and gentrol and suspend? I am tying to do this cheaply and wasting a lot of money in that regard. I'm just panic stage now.
