Staying in a hotel

This past weekend was my first hotel stay since bed bugs and I was quite nervous about it. The first thing I did was lift the sheets off the beds and inspect the bedside tables. To my relief they were all spotless.
I think the thing that made me the most able to relax was talking to the housekeeping staff who were very honest. They told me there had been a problem last year and that it had been treated and they haven't seen any evidence of them since.
Of course everyone staying with me thought I was nuts, hopefully they'll never know first hand
