Is there such a thing? i'm trying to look for them on the internet but can't find anything.. I'm trying to get a bag (NOT a wrapping) that will fit my softa in it to protect from bed bugs. I know they have mattress encasings but can't find anything for couches... Anyone know if these bags exist?

Most BB products are recent inventions, so you could perhaps give it a shot. You can wrap the mattress with an encasement, but you need one that's both liberal enough to handle folding and tough enough to withstand the movement and avoid being snagged in the mechanism. The sofa itself is your challenge with so many nooks and crannies, yet you need to allow for the mechanism to work. Good luck.

    hey there

if you want your whole sofa to fit in it <not just the mattress part> look up "banana bags" on google. i think their largest size (jumbo?) ones are big enough. they will give you the dimensions of the bag (obvs) make sure the length height AND depth will fit. you'll have to do your own cubic space calculations to be sure.

they are sold at organizing stores like 'container store' or 'organize everything'

if you just want a mattress encasement for the mattress part of the sofa bed i agree with the above posters that finding one to withstand all the folding will be hard (i love my protectabed, but its fragile - i'm on my second mattress encasement from them cuz the first wore through)

finally there is a company that sells sofa encasements - it advertises on this site. if you go with the sofa encasement option make sure you protect it from punctures - no pets on the sofa, cardboard IN the encasement under the feet, no moving it around, no sitting on it with keys in your pockets, no jumping on it, etc. it needs to be puncture free for 18 months to be effective.

    good luck!

I don't know the research data on this but you may want to check out this site.

You can read more discussions of Sofa Safe here: http://bedbugger.com/forum/tags/sofa-safe

I don't know of anything else designed for bed bugs and sofas, if you want more than a poly bag for moving.
