Shell ID(4 posts)
I found this and other similar shells in my bathroom. Can someone ID it, please? If not a bedbug would this be causing any bites?
Its an isopod, a sow buy or pill louse.
100% not a bedbug.
Bed Bugs Limited
Thank you, David. I didn't think so, but the bites I'm getting are making me paranoid.
One more question: I have had the passive alert monitor on the back of my headboard for 9 nights now. So far, no marks. I have slept in my bed for 7 of those nights. I am not sure the reliability of the monitor and was wondering what the likelihood is that I am bedbug free. Thanks!
Given the lack of signs and the occupation of the bed I would say its increasingly unlikely to be bedbugs. I am actually the inventor of that system and have clients who have found it so reliable they are now using it for the 4th year in succession.
If you get to the 14 day mark and have no signs I would say it becomes extremely unlikely to be bedbugs so long as any bedbugs are able to get to the monitor. The only time I have known them to fail was once in the field when they were installed incorrectly and once in a lab study where the academic put them in a place that bedbugs could not get to.
Hope that helps.
In accordance with the AUP and FTC I openly confirm my vested interest in Passive Monitors as the inventor.
