Found this guy on my mattress when I was changing sheets. Isn't so flat but is apple seedish....

Am in New York so it seems likely enough, though I haven't found any stains or bites.

Oh wow! I did some exhaustive interneting as the shape did seem off (legs too long) but woe did not come across that critter. Thanks - spider beetle does fit!
