Sealing gaps between floor and doors
(4 posts)-
Caulk can be used to seal off many cracks and openings, but obviously can't be used on the gap between the floor and doors. We are concerned with crawl spaces in our loft one day serving as a passageway between neighboring units, should a neighbor ever have an infestation, and our condo. The crawl space is not being used for storage but has things like a boiler, air conditioning units, and insulation, but we are thinking there are plenty of passageways in the innards of the roof that would allow BB's to transit between units. What methods of sealing cracks, if any, are BBers using on cracks between the floor and doors?

There are door "sweeps" that can be attached. These are used for weatherproofing. Not sure if they're tight enough for BB.

I was once told you can't hermetically seal off an apartment. $6,000 later, I agree.
You could spray the area in question with Ortho Home Defense Max. It's intended for the perimeter of your home.

Based on the responses to this question (so far), no one has to deal with this issue (while fighting BB) it seems? I am also interested in knowing the answer/solution.
