Went on vacation the week of the 25, where one of the rooms had a bb infestation. Daughter and son in law got bitten up very badly. Before we left we washed and dried them, and packed them in,clean plastic bags. We threw away all luggage, pillows, comforter, and when we got home put the pack and play on the terrace, and saw a live bb. Been home a week, and havent seen any live bugs, no bites, and mattresses look good. Ive been vacuuming and throwing away the bags, but I cant sleep, and Im afraid to go home after work. I sprinkled some DE. Im convinced they are there CT Www. Is it possible there I didnt infest my apartment. I just want to run away.

The sad thing is unless you see one or have bites you will never know. But i m not an expert, but you did great on your precautions of not bringing them back.

Good luck, hope you dont have them. but if you do just remember it will be ok. We can survive this

    bugging,

If you were not staying in the infested room, you are less at risk than those who were.

You may not react to bed bug bites, and you might not see any for a while, IF you did bring any home (and it's a big "if").

However, that doesn't mean you're stuck wondering indefinitely. An inexpensive passive bed bug monitor can help you detect a problem if it exists. And early detection makes this a much easier problem to deal with.

Read this FAQ (especially later section on detection) and the linked FAQs on bed bug monitors, and look at some ideas in the Useful Stuff page under the section on detection.

You also don't have to be sad or scared, you can react by monitoring. Keep in mind most people who think they see a bed bug are wrong. If you see another, post a photo here for ID (instructions).
