It seems Eco Exempt and Dead Bed Bug spray are very similar. They basically are salt water with peppermint. Couldn't someone mix this on their own? Does salt water then dry out and kill bed bugs? This would seem safer than 91% alcohol to use, which made my dog sick after licking the floor.

    thanks-
    Amy

You can Google Ecoexempt MSDS and find the ingredients (assuming the sheet is true). It appears to be mainly mineral oil. Not clear if the other herbal oils have any effect.

The main ingredient in All Stop DBB is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, aka basic detergent.

As these are contact killers, so it should be relatively easy to test their effectiveness (or of your homebrew alternatives).

Alcohol evaporates quickly. I'd take a guess that your floor surface reacted and there may be some residue that your dog reacted too. Or, someone applied something to the floor prior to your arrival.

As you're dealing with contact killers, you could just use Murphy's (or probably Mr. Clean).
