Does anyone have contact info for this company? It was mentioned in a post further down on this board, a few days ago, but I am completely unable to find this company. Besides that, I am generally interested in a cheaper alternative to Bed Bugs and Beyond.

Royal Fumigation does ship cargo and stuff - dont' know if they have branched out into consumer.

Try this company Bed Bug Fumigation Specialists LLC - they used to work for BB & B Doug Summers mentioned them and I got an e-mail from them also (BB & B sub-ed them out to do my car fumingation)

    1-877-966-4824 or try courtney@bedbugfumigators.com

My understanding is that Bed Bugs and Beyond contracts out to service providers. They do not actually perform fumigations themselves.

Maybe you're confusing them with "Moving Right Along" which is a moving company that contracts out their fumigation services to Bed Bugs and Beyond (http://www.movingrightalong.com/bedbug.html) This is the combo rumored to have done the Abercrombie job and others.

My understanding is that fumigation is Bed, Bug and Beyond's only business.

I think they do offer commodity fumigation. Could you please give me their number? Here is what i"m basing this off of, Entomophobe's post available here ( http://bedbugger.com/forum/topic/anyone-worked-with-royal-fumigation-in-kearny-nj )and quoted below:

"I have read too many bad experiences with Bed Bugs and Beyond to feel totally comfortable with them, so I have been exploring options. I came across Royal Fumigation and called their 800 number. I was forwarded on to someone who works for Royal doing Vikane truck treatment in Kearny, NJ during the week. He quoted me A THIRD of the price of BB&B. He is emailing me references right now.

He also said they offered the following service: a few bed bugs would be placed in a container that they could not escape from. We would be allowed to place that container anywhere in our stuff in our truck - they wouldn't know where. We could then verify that they had been killed, confirming that the concentration was sufficient to kill BBs. AND he mentioned that they need the truck for 2 full days, in order to have the gas work longer and still have the airing out period."

Well actually I just spoke with Bed Bug Fumigation Specialists LLC and I am pretty happy with their rates so I will probably go with them. Thanks very much for showing them to me.

Hi all. Flatline - I PM'ed you before I saw you didn't need the info. Good luck!!

I found Royal through the forums - they were the company that did the entire apartment building in NJ. I googled "Royal Fumigation" and got their website: http://www.royalfume.com/

I called their 800 number and went from there. As I said, their customer service is a little rough as they are just starting out in the individual-with-bed-bugs market. But my bed-bug free existence (thus far, fingers crossed) and a lower price were my two top concerns, so that was fine by me.

I can only hope that the market opens up a little, creating some competition and keeping prices lower for the tortured and bitten among us.

Regarding Bed Bugs & Beyond - they do not actually do their own fumigation - they arrange for it. They also provide supports services and education. It is a very interesting business model and it seems to work well for them. However, they are very expensive and I think they will be seeing a lot of competition in the coming months/years.

Fumigation is very common in places like Florida and other warm states due to the termite problem they experience. It is also a third of the price of what is charged here in the NE. It would make sense for some of those companies to branch out into some of the BB Hot Zones and create some welcome competition. I was quoted $13,000 for a 1200 sf house. If they had said $7000 I would have done it. And they still would have made a profit.

    Hi Richard,

I probably was not expressing myself clearly enough.

My communications with the firm suggest that Bed Bugs and Beyond has a network of local fumigators around the US (a recently expanded network). My understanding is when clients contact BB&B, they refer them to local service providers. So this is what I meant when I said they did not actually perform fumigations themselves.

In the case of Moving Right Along, when they say they're working with "Bed Bugs and Beyond," I believe this means the local service provider that BB&B arranges.

I have to say, having looked at their website, "The Final Solution" is probably not a slogan anyone wants to associate themselves with. Regardless of how odious bed bugs are.
