Replacement Cover for Packtite
(4 posts)-
Do they sell replacement covers for Packtites? I'm not sure if it's because I don't put very many items in the Packtite and the heat is causing the plastic around the inside seams of the Packtite to peel off. I didn't think it was a problem, but then realized the plastic binding around the seams prevents bedbugs from crawling out of the Packtite. (very well designed!)
I love the peace of mind I get using the Packtite when I come back from business trips and would hate to find out I brought one home and it escaped through the unfinished seam.

Beacause of the convective heat circulation inside the unit, you could have a whole in the bag the size if a baseball and bed bugs would not escape. The areas on the inside of the bag get hot so quickly that it is the last place a bed bug would go, instead, they sense the heat and go to the only cool spot available, the inside of the items being heated. Once that area gets too hot, they have nowhere survivable to go. That being said pm me and we'll get you fixed up.

Thanks David. It certainly is a relief to know that. Does that mean that people don't have to tape the zipper gap? I guess I've read that people get worried that a bedbug could, possibly climb up the cord and escape through the teeny gap where the zipper closes.
