We just had our visit with Terminix and I'm not terribly impressed. The guy claimed the following things that contradict all of my research on bed bugs:

    1. Other companies comes two or three times, but Terminix only needs to come once.
    2. Bed bugs don't nest in books or electronic equipment.
    3. If it can't be washed, it doesn't need to be treated.

Their treatments involve wet steam and CO2 on beds and furniture, but I've read that dry vapor should be used and that freezing doesn't work, and aerosol and dust in cracks and crevices. The dusts could be Drione or Alpine and the aerosols could be Tri-die, Alpine, or PI. I can get all of these products myself, so why should I pay a PCO $600 + $150 per room to apply them?

He said that we should unpack everything (we just moved in), but he also said that we should bag things after washing them which doesn't make much sense. Either we should bag or not, right?

I'm also not terribly impressed that they sent a salesman who admitted he knows more about termites and had to call someone else to find out what chemicals they use.

We have a Packtite ordered that should arrive today, so I'm fine with whatever can go in there not being treated by the PCO, but what about stuff that doesn't fit? Should those things be bagged and boxed? Destroyed and trashed? Close my eyes, cross my fingers, and hope for the best?

Any suggestions for a reliable PCO that treats in HoCo (Columbia), MD would be hugely helpful.

I used Connor's Pest Control, they're actually located in Northern Virginia, but will treat bed bugs in MD. They were great, highly recommend.

That was my same recommendation in my PM. They also have a K9 service.
