5 months ago I noticed that my roommates and I were getting similar bites. Turns out we had bed bugs! o I found one on my bed and sent a picture to the pest control and then confirmed our fears. We went through the whole process of bagging up our apartment and receiving 3 different treatments. Everything has been fine since then and no bites UNTIL NOW! Is this something that someone else has experienced? I didn't realize this was possible. Should we call pest control and get treatments again? This is such a headache!!!

My first experience was sorta similar. Only I had just one treatment, no one told me I would have to do battle with at least three (not even the pro). However, it kept them at bay for about 6 months or so, and I went about my business like everything was fine. And now they were back, just in time for my awesome summer break. I don't know if this is true or not, I'm not an expert, but one PCO said that if you're not diligent and keep going with the treatments, and bag/dry ALL your clothes, and monitor, etc, etc, DE could keep a light infestation at bay for approx. 6 months, until the DE wears off. I don't know if that's a fact, just wanted to share what I was told. I was told that in a lot of others scenerios it does work and it was successful. They may have come back from another source as well? They seem to be taking over the world!

DE doesn't just wear off. Though after a certain period of time you obviously need to reapply the DE to certain areas.

Frustrating! Are you in an apartment or single family home? I think that will help with answering this question. If you are in an apartment, you easily could have dealt with the specific infestation in YOUR apartment, but they could have traveled to another unit and are now back in yours.
