The PCO was here and he just left, he sprayed. dusted, etc. We found no evidence, or new evidence other than what was already around, which wasn't much at all.

Here's why I am super super pissed.

70 dgerees, Friday afternoon, sunny. I'm going to steam the cars! Once we had the bed apart i thought, maybe I will steam the box springs while I am at it, first. A half hour goes by and still no steam. Meanwhile the red light on the steamer is on. I thought it was a not ready sort of light and that the green one will turn on when ready.

It's the water level indicator. I added two more bottles into it until it appeared to be full (only way to know is when water enters the funnel). Turn it back on, the red light is on. No steam. Sun is setting, just waited A MONTH for it, finally got it, and when I really go to use it, it's [expletive deleted] broken. $700 piece of "heavy duty commercial" equipment that is not working. Now what??????? SO much for steaming the damned cars or anything else. It worked fine when I first fired it up! Oddly enough, it seemed to have been wet on the inside when I got it as if filled before.

Guessing they shipped me a repaired one, eh?

    UPDATE

Well... I just took it out onto my porch to drain it and found the reset button. I pushed it and plugged it back in. So far, the red light is not on now but the power is so we shall see. JUST in time for dusk and no car and bed already put back together.

Wishing the manual was a little clearer about labeling the machine.

Well, I didn't get to steam the car as well as I would have done had it still been light out but luckily the light from the parking lot helped. I did a "pre-treat" steam job tonight, just to get things moving along so to speak. Hopefully, though, NOTHING will be moving.

I'll tell you what, my dad's car was disgusting! Cannot believe he let his car get this filthy. I say this filthy because I steamed like crazy but could not get to actually cleaning too. Will have to hold off on that until daylight and go to a car wash to use the vacuum. Once I thoroughly vacuum it out and inspect in day light (I'll feel a little safer doing this now)I'll re-steam, use carpet shampoo, etc.

Have our car to do now as well but it isn't as complicated as my father's and it is much cleaner since I vacuumed it out a couple weeks ago. Thinking once summer comes, I will make it a point to steam and vacuum each week. Too bad my home isn't as straight forward.

Know what I want? What I really really am hoping for? That after I do all this, my bites would stop completely. Just a dream but we need something to hold onto. Feel sort of funky being in the house now in these clothes but would like to keep steaming. Might fire up the pack tite now and finally put my antique basket vase thing in it. Still debating on throwing out the little wicker vanity or not. The dog did not alert anywhere in that room and swept it twice so maybe it is ok.

    Vic,

The reset button will always trip when the water runs below a certain point. Fill the thing until the water is flowing out the top .. that's full. You should get about 2 or more hrs of use depending on the amount of pressure you're running.

As I mentioned in the PM ... TR5 was the way to go, 200.00 less, better machine. If you can return it, try and get the TR5 ... no disappointments here and it heats up in under 5 minutes.

Don't know if you recall ... I own both machines you were interested in. I grab my TR6 every time.

    KQ,
Thank you for the info about the reset. Found myself having to use it again and it started up, that's a weird feature. Should mention something about this in the manual.

If I remember correctly, the TR5 was just not available, anywhere. So far I am liking this machine, still wondering why the price difference though. What is it about the Unilux that makes it $200 more?? I was comforted by all the info about it being approved for use in hospitals, etc.

Not sure I can return it. Was over a month ago that it was purchased plus I no longer have the box Trying to make friends with it.

    KQ, is that a typo?

If you grab your TR6 every time, then why are you recommending the TR5?

The only difference from the TR5 and the TR6 is the continuous fill (double boiler on the TR6). The average home owner does not need a continuous fill machine for the extra $150.00 that the TR6 costs.

The TR5 is still out there when I search for it on google under "vapor clean TR5".

It's just under 500.00. I use it all day long ( and it bounces around in my truck on the city streets when not in use) and it works flawlessly every time I plug it in.

Oh, okay. You're not suggesting victimized should not have bought a TR6 except that it may be overkill. That's what I was confused about.

Nobugs, I purchased neither. I was torn initially between the TR5 and the Unilux and ended up picking the Unilux. For some reason I just felt like it is more heavy duty or intended for commercial use. I loved how the TR5 looked.

The TR5 works well, it is what we use.
