Hello. We just discovered bed bugs last night and are scrambling to do research. This site has been immensely helpful. One quick question about the mattress and pillow encasings Do you sleep directly on these or can you place sheets over them?

You just put them over your mattress and then proceed as normal, meaning sheets over plastic.

But-- wait until your PCO treats the mattress. Or buy a cheap one to use until they do, and a good one for after.
