For those of you who have successfully eradicated bed bugs, how long was your fight to get rid of them? From the time you first suspected/saw/had them confirmed to the time you finally could say they were 100% gone, how long did it take? A few months? A few years?

bout 3-4 months from sightings to 60 days with no sightings.

I'm not sure if I'm at the point of saying that they are 100% gone, but I think that I am getting there. But I first saw a bedbug in my apartment in early May 2008 and since October 2008, I've been relatively bite free and sight free.
P.S. And notice that I used the word "relatively." ;-)

me - too - but since I got these things from a storage locker they were in all my stuff so it took longer - about 7 months to be free of them
but I say that loosely as death2allbbs - I don't know if I am 100% free of them but I am much more comfortable

From the moment I saw them:
4 weeks to the first spraying (it didn't work)
2 weeks to pack everything and move
2 weeks to find a new place
2 months to feel safe again
4 more months to really feel free
