    Hi!
I am terrified I may have bedbugs - I've been getting bitten at night for the last week, and saw a bug (wasn't sure what kind) crawling on me yesterday. I have exterminators coming tomorrow for a diagnosis. ....I had a friend visit last week, possibly bringing them in - So it doesn't look good.
Anyway - this couldn't have happened at a worse time, really. Personally, I have a lot going on right now. And I am so scared of dealing with all of this - I just want to run and hide!

So, I was wondering - are there any professional companies in the NEW YORK/NJ that come in and do prep for you. Including laundry. Or any professional laundry places that specialize in bedbug infested laundry, so they can come pick up/I can drop off my clothes and (1) be sure they'll heat it up enough and (2) be sure they are familiar with this - so don't let my possible bedbugs get on other peoples' clothes. Ideally, just someone who will take care of it all for me - I would be willing to pay for it!

I just saw this described on bedbugregistry.com:
    bedbug911.com/bedbugs_solutions.html
The description is on the latest entry. I wish I had heard of them before going through with my PCO.

I note the company you linked to also does bed bug treatment, according to its website.

If you click "bed bug prep" above in the tags, you'll find there are two other companies who are solely doing bed bug prep (bed bug busters and prep 4 bed bugs).

This post describes and links to those two additional ones in NYC. I have no personal experience with any of them.

I would talk with any of them before hiring them, and find out what their protocol is, and how they work with the PCO's protocols for bed bug prep. You don't want someone who has conflicting ideas with your PCO.

Also find out their philosophy on throwing things out, and bagging.

The bedbugregistry post noting this service is here:
    http://bedbugregistry.com/location/NY/11236/New-York/444-E-86th-St

According to the post, the LL's PCO failed and BB911 saved the day. Glowing review.

Yellow flags to note: BBregistry often mixes up Manhattan (10028) and Brooklyn (11236). 444 East 86th in Manhattan (10028) is a big coop (Rudy Giuliani and Donna Hanover used to live there). 444 East 86th Street in Brooklyn (11236) is a warehouse in Brooklyn. No one should be living there.

Checked out BB911's site. Intriguing offering and certainly what the market needs. They seem to work with or as an alternative to PCOs, but are not PCOs themselves. Nice testimonials and interesting "grass-roots" client list, including orgs I interact with. Owner is Nicole Waisman-Levine. Based at 1322 E 14th Street, Brooklyn. Also at the same address, owned by Waisman-Levine, is Home Clean Home, a cleaning service (hchinc.net). Bedbug prep and home cleaning do appear to be a logical complement to each other. (Did we once have Nicole comment about her service on the boards?)

So, assuming HCH/BedBug911 is competent and legit, more power to them. But some of the history here warrants further digging.

I had seen that review (on bb registry) and was a little skeptical about the way it was written.

We're NYers. We're wired that way.
