I currently live in Brooklyn and have bedbugs. My apartment has been treated, but they came back, and my roommate decided she couldn't deal with another round and moved out. I'm now moving to a smaller place alone, and I want to make sure I don't take any bugs with me. I have been saving for a Vikane treatment, but I'm interested in learning about timeline and packing. Also, do I need to wash/dry all my clothing again even with the treatment, and if so, do I do it before or after? I have lots of plastic storage bins - is it OK to pack things in them, especially things I've kept sealed since the original treatment? How do I pack dishes and other things that need padding to protect them while still allowing them to be treated (yes, the bugs are even in my kitchen). Should I use rugs and blankets I plan on throwing out as truck packing then discard them, or should I put as little stuff in the truck as possible? Is there a "best way" to pack a moving truck for the treatment? Also, the company I've found to do the treatment is in the Bronx, and I'm staying in the same neighborhood in Brooklyn, so does anyone know of a reliable company closer? I have two weeks to pack up all my stuff, and I'd like to get started. Thank you!
