Has anyone here had to do more with clothing than wash, dry and store in air tight bags? I'd like to think that the heat from the dryer is enough to zap them, but of course now I'm just paranoid.

The dryer is plenty. You can even skip the washer, if you just want to sterilize the stuff. Just make sure you give it enough time for the hot air to penetrate. A king-size duvet probably won't need more than 20 minutes, though.

i have thrown a clean duvet in the dryer (already dry) to be sure that it was free from bugs. i generally leave duvets on for at least 40 minutes, sometimes longer if it is the extra fluffy type. keep in mind that duvets have a LOT of insulation, and that if a bug can burrow deep inside and remain protected from the heat, then they won't be killed. smaller loads will of course heat much more quickly.

the dryer really does work, however, and there are studies to back it up, so don't feel too paranoid! when washing clothing etc. just be sure to leave clothes on an extra 20 minutes in the dryer after they are already dry. this will ensure that the bundle is evenly heated.

no doubt. I had no idea I had this much stuff until it was all out of closets, dressers, etc and into 14+ garbage bags.

once clean I take them straight out of the dryer into a clear garbage bag, which then acts as my launching ground to the XL ziploc with a clear garbage bag liner for socks, underwear, pants, shirts, etc. I can't sing the praises of those ziploc bags enough. when they first came out I was like "who would ever use these?" ... and now I know. giving the zipped shut bag a pat to ensure there is no air leak is so comforting to my fried nerves.

blankets / stuff I don't use much is cleaned and placed in a clear garbage bag that is then twisted shut and twist tied.. but everything will go through the process no matter how unlikely it is that they have bb inside.

"small" infestation or not, I'm taking no chances.

one company suggested i buy the steamer and do it myself....
so i did. all day and nite, very tedious....each piece of furn. after i tossed mattress....
only found feces...and one shell.... but ive been using de powder and alcohol for awhile.
my problem is i dont see them and no bites,,,,,but i seen one a wk ago....which is why i started up again.

What i would like to know is: are you using these bags as a replacment for dresser drawers or are you keeping they zipped and if so what are you doing for change?
