Help,
In 2007 and 2008 around the same time, I had bedbugs in an apartment in Manhattan. The first treatment was done chemically and we had no problems until 2008. That treatment was done with Cryonite. Soon after the Cryonite treatment my family moved to NJ and as part of the move, we had the entire moving truck Vikaned. We have not experienced any issues since, but the other day I discovered four bites along my 2 year old daughter's leg and later in the day found what I believe to be a partial skin cast off in her bathroom (it was just the rear end part, no head or legs). No one else has been bitten and I have not seen any bugs (I know this is no indication of anything, although both times we had them before, I did see one or two bugs, one skin cast off, and some stains on the bed). Now I don't know if I am being paranoid, but having experienced this problem twice before I am extremely worried.
What I wanted to know, if somone can PM me, is recommendations for a scent dog team. Does anyone know if Cooper Pest uses dogs? Ideally, I would like a dog team to come along with someone else to inspect if anything is found, maybe Boot a pest? I used Advanced K9 before, but was not sure about using them again, or if they come to NJ.
Please, if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I concur with using a dog at this point. Advanced K9 and other companies have more and more trained technicians every day, so I'm sure you can get someone to come to NJ. I'll send you a PM, too. Thank heavens you are so observant and aware. If there are bedbugs, I'm sure you've caught them earlier than most people would.

Thanks parakeets. I got your PM and will look into some possibilities.
I am so paranoid at this point having gone through this twice and want some peace of mind. If I saw the bites alone, I probably would not have thought much about them, but seeing what looks to me like the skin cast of the rear end of a bed bug has thrown me into a panic.
I too think a dog team right now will be a good thing, if I can find one that is effective and does not have a high false positive rate.

Ihatethem, hi.
We had an infestation of our home almost 2yrs ago this May. After many treatments ended up vikaning our entire home. A year after our fumigation, after replacing ALL the flooring in our home, with 80% of our funiture gone before the fumigation I still found 3 headless bed bugs and one cast skin in various places of our home. I am sure that we don't have bed bugs anymore.I wanted to let you know this so that it IS very possible that what you found is just an old dead piece of bug. In fact my children were playing outside the last few days, not for long, but about an hour each day. My daughter has about 6 bites on her that look just like bed bug bites she got in the past. It of course makes me worried, but this is my 2nd spring of being bed bug free and I know there are chiggers, mosquitos and such in the lawn. So if your child spent anytime outside, even for a little bit, the bugs are bad this time of year, come out in full force and it may just be a normal bug bite. Try to keep calm, though I know it's hard.

paulaw0919, thanks for the support. My daughter has been playing outside a lot in the last two weeks and it could be a bite from a flea, or chigger, or something else.
As you can imagine, having gone through this before yourself, I am completely overwhelmed with the idea they might be back. I don't know what to do though. I want to maybe wait another two weeks to see if anyone else develops a bite, but part of me does not want to wait out of fear that if there is a problem, they will just multiply.
